62nd MKA Obedience Trials

This was my 2nd time joining an OB trial after one & a half years. The last time I joined, I was only 6 mths old. I did terribly at my 1st trial coz I was still young & clearly was not ready yet.

It was definitely a very tiring day for us all yesterday even though it was done indoors. We were there since 8.30 a.m. till 5 in the afternoon. I actually joined Intermediate level but the committee members there said I cannot becoz I did not qualify for Pre-Novice & Novice yet. So, I didn't do Intermediate but I did join the other two. Faith also joined Pre-Novice & Chloe joined both Pre-Novice & Novice too.

All the shops were still closed inside at 9 a.m.

Here's us waiting. The manager of the shopping mall doesn't like doggies to be inside so if it was not our turn yet, we had to be crated outside. Sheesh, then why do it here in the first place?

Pre-Novice started first. When it was Faith's turn, she did well! But when it was Chloe's turn, she didn't do too well becoz while in the middle of heeling, she barked at a lady wearing a scarf on her head. She also lagged quite a bit & during her recall, she sat sideways in front of my hooman M. Ooops! When it was my turn, I did soooperb! Mommy was surprised that I did not lag like I always do...Didn't I do well? Hehehehe... Click here to watch Faith & Chloe in action.

When everyone was done, they announced the results. Okay, this is gonna be shocking to you. 4th place is, FAITH!!! Wooow, we didn't expect her to get a placing. This was her lucky day! 3rd placing went to a trainer from Penang & 2nd place went to, ME!!! Wahhhhhhhhh! Me soooo happee! Mommy was sooo proud of me! 1st place went to my Schnauzer friend, Venus. She did very well, like a pro!

We all four got ribbons, certs & trophies. The ribbons are really nice... I will show you guys later. Puparazzis took pictures of us & after we went off the stage, more puparazzis surrounded me & my sistas. There were also two people who interviewed my mommy. I also got to show off some of my dance moves. They all L.O.V.E.D it! We're sooo famous now! Oh, I forgot to tell ya, Chloe also passed & she got 6th place. She only got a cert. But I think that's good enuf!

Okay after that, we all took a break & went through some exercises outside the mall. We waited for a looooong time until it was our turn for Novice. Everyone was having a lunch break first & we waited till in the afternoon.

Waiting the whole day is sooo tiring & boooring too!

When it was time for Novice, we both were in the middle of our sleep & were like still half a sleep & blurr. Our on-leash heeling was good but when during off-leash, we did bad! Chloe was like doing her own thing while I lagged alot. In the end, we both were NOT QUALIFIED! Awwww... I failed becoz during recall, I did not come when called & when my mommy called me the 2nd time, I walked towards her. I could have gotten 20 marks & would be in 2nd placing. What a waste but it's okay, there's always next time right?

Me during sit stay. See that little Shih Tzu beside me? Well, he has this thing with females. He likes girls & always breaks his stay when there's a female beside him. He broke his sit & down stay to say hello to me. I was not interested at all & just stayed put. Aren't I a good girl?

That poor little doggie failed. And do you know what's the funny? The funny thing is that non of the MKA trainers' dogs made it to any of the four placings for Pre-Novice & Novice. That sure is sad... That little doggie's handler is one of the trainers of MKA.

In case you guys are interested to see the marks for Novice, here it is. Chloe is contestant number 11 & I was number 10. You can see that both of us did not qualify for it. 1st placing went to a very very good Golden Retriever from Penang. She 's sooo damn good that it made my mommy jealous! No, me no jealous at all. I have my own limits & I don't think I can ever be good as her...

The trials was not over yet as there was still Intermediate & Open levels. We were too tired to watch anymore so we went home after that. We went home proud becoz we passed Pre-Novice & as well as disappointed becoz we did miserably for Novice.

This was how we were when we reached home... But then my mommy woke us up to take some photos with our ribbons, certs & trophies. Ready to see?

I'm still sooo tired today so I will be continuing my beauty sleep after this. Oh yeah btw, I've received 9 more cards today & a pressie from Ricky & his siblings! I have 25 cards in total now.
