Megan-Joy Dances & Meet Little Pumpkin!

Hey all! Just wanted to let you all know that my daughter, Megan-Joy & hoomie Melissa are participating in Honey the Great Dane's DWTDS Competition. They have just submitted their entry this evening. Below here is their entry video. Their routine is very, very simple because Megan can't do much tricks/moves. For the music, they decided to use my 1st ever dance jingle that was composed & produced for me for my dance demo 3 or 4 years ago. It was a demo for a Christmas party. This jingle is short & sweet & just perfect for their dance routine. Anyway, I hope you enjoy the video!

And now, I have a big surprise to tell you all. Ooooh Yes! We have a new member joining our family! Nope, it's not a human. And no, it's not a puppy. It's a kitty! You hear that? KITTY!!! And her name is Pumpkin. We found her, well actually...Pumpkin found us while we were having our walk in a field near our home like we do everyday. We heard this kitty screaming bloody murder in a large drain near us. We went to check it out & it was a small, orange kitty in a drain! She was desperate for someone to take her so my hoomies picked her up & brought her back home with us.

The next day, she was sent to the Vet to get examin
ed & the doctor found out that she has mange & a broken jaw. Hoomie Melissa knew there was something not right with her jaw when she 1st saw it. The skin on the lower jaw is sagging down & there were some nasty brown stuff in between Pumpkin's lip & gum. Pumpkin stayed at the Vet for a month to get treated. Today, she looks GREAT! All those mangy, brown, dry, crusty stuff on her feet, ears, hocks, face & body dropped off & her jaw healed. The skin is still sagging down but it looks better now & no more nasty brown stuff in her mouth! Unfortunately, the mange came back immediately after the treatment was stopped so now she's getting jabs once a week for one whole month to get rid of the mange. She recently had very high fever & flu too but now she is okay. When we 1st found her, she was very small in size & she still had blue eyes. But today, she has grown quite a bit & her eyes have now turned greenish in colour. Anyhoo, enough talking & time for pictures. Everyone, I would like you to meet Little Pumpkin!

This picture was taken when she had lost a lot of weight when she had very high fever. She didn't look very good then. But today she looks like a different kitty!

Here she is on the 1st day back home from the Vet. Everytime she saw us, she would turn into a mad-looking thing. She would curl her back like that, make all her hair stand & then hiss & spit at us. She stayed in our big steel cage for about a week and then her home was upgraded to...

THIS! Cool huh? My hoomies made it all by themselves just for her & it's about 5 feet tall! Downstairs is her toilet & food. And upstairs is her playhouse. She loves hanging out upstairs a lot!

She loves standing on the very top of her scratching post.

Another thing she loves doing is this. Climbing up on the plastic netting. She's very good at it! We all call her Spidey Cat!

She's been with us for about 2 weeks now & I think she's starting to like us. I hope. Hopefully she'll be cured from her mange real soon so that we can start playing together! I will give you all an update on her when she's better.

Pumpkin is adorable - my Mom was looking at her all longingly - she LOVES ginger cats and has had quite a few in her time. Did you know it is supposedly rare to get female gingers - Mom only ever had one - the rest we all males.

What a sweet little kitty you have there. :) I can't believe she was in such bad shape (and so young) when you found her. Makes me sad. :( How wonderful of you to take her and get her all fixed up! She looks like she's full of personality. ;)

O Megan-Joy that was fantastic - you definitely don't look like a beginner! Our favourite trick was when you had your front feet on the stool and you and your human were spinning around together :)

Hehe we also loved that you had an audience :D

That is so very exciting you have a new kitty friend :) Wow Pumpkin has a flashy house - every kitty's dream we bet!

Licks and lots of slobber,

What a wonderful video. I really like the pedestal tricks. That spin on there where you only move the back legs is amazing as is the ending with your feet on your humans chest and your gazing lovingly into her eyes. It's very sweet.

Wow, your kitty sister has a huge kitty palace. Very clever of your humans to build it themselves. I want my humans to build me some poles like your yellow ones with the red stripe.

Good Luck in the competition and it was very nice to meet you.
