The Lady Of The House thinks it's weird that I like to snaffle up crusts of bread that I sometimes find in the hedges when we follow the route the local children take to school. I think they must eat their packed lunches before they even get to school and throw the crusts away.

I don't know the answer to your camera question, Amber, since I'm still learning about the my camera, myself! What sort does Melissa have?
If she is has one like mine, and is shooting in no-flash auto, and the camera is having trouble focusing, then I might check to see which auto-focus mode she's using. Some are better at handling movement (assuming the car is moving!) than others. I like to use the viewfinder, with AF-C and 3D-tracking.
I don't know what it would be bright, unless the car was moving and the lighting was changing rapidly.
