The Dice Was Rolled And I Lost

Melissa speaking here. I have such sad news. I didn't make it through the "pre-audition" round today. I don't know what went wrong but all I can say is, the pre-judge(not the real judges for the real audition & the show) probably was not into country pop song. I gave it my all infact, this was the 1st time ever that I was not nervous for a singing competition. I didn't want to be because I didn't want to screw up my singing as this is my only chance to become a star & win RM1,000,000. There were ten contestants including me in a small room. Two girls sang well but the guys didn't do too well. The two girls did a lot of blasting while I did more feelings in the song. I was pretty shocked when I was not chosen but a guy that went out of tune in some parts of his song & was copying the voice of the original singer, made it through the next round which will be on tomorrow. I sure still don't understand. In each group, there must only be 3 contestants that can make it through the next round. So maybe one boy, two girls or two boys and one girl. I don't think they can pick all girls or all boys only. I don't know. So since the other two girls did more blasting than me, they were chosen. And since they have to pick a guy anyway, they picked him when actually one or two other guys did a little much better than him. So I don't know whether it is because the pre-judge didn't appreciate country music coz it was not her thing or whatever. I noticed she was more into R&B & soul because she kept asking another girl to sing one of those if she knew one but she knew none. So, what more can I say? I am very upset but then again, I am glad that I didn't have to leave my family for three long months. I am basically emotionally not ready for it honestly. Now that the DWB Christmas cards are coming in, I want to be able to enjoy looking through them all with my dogs & family & oh by the way, we have a new Golden Retriever pet named Joy. She was a stray found at a dumpster near our home so we picked her up & now decided to keep her. Our three stooges like her very much but she's a bit of a nutso but incredible in Obedience! More stories & pictures of her to come.

Anyway, we're just gonna forget about it. It really isn't the end of the world for me yet. I'm gonna go back to my normal life for the meanwhile while & find a new job & just wait for the next One In A Million competition again next year. Maybe for all you know, the next pre-judge will appreciate my singing better or maybe I'll just have to do some blasting too with one of Jeniffer Hudson's songs if that's what they want. This is reality isn't it?

Christmas Is Coming To Town!

You must be guessing, what was I wearing there? I'm supposed to be a Christmas tree too! Well "supposed" to before Mommy actually found a real one being sold cheap. Whee!

Here's Mommy's 1st ever Gingerbread House! Well actually, second before the 1st was splatted flat. Pretty cute huh? Mommy had to put nails on the sides for it to hold. It's edible but it won't be anymore becoz of the nails. It's just for display now & to rot.

Nyom! I LOVE Gingerbread! Do you guys have any idea what we have been doing to the previous one? We have been eating it all up! That's right! We just love the sweet & spicy flavour of cinnamon & ginger. Mmm-mmm!

I Am Fine & Some News

Hi my friends! Thank you SO much for the very nice comments you left for me & mah sistas. We are all fine now! We actually found out that my bloordy poop wasn't all that serious afterall especially after reading some of our friend's comments saying that they can get bloordy poop after eating some kitty poopie or eating eother delicacies. BOL! Chloe is still itching but the anti-bitotics are working well. Faith has stopped mutilating herself & has found other better things to do besides eating her own paw paws & that is, indulging herself with food gingerbread. Oh yeah, she has been eating a LOT!

In my comment box, I mentioned that Mommy was making a Gingerbread House. Well, it was her 1st attempt ever making a Gingerbread House & it was a big failure. Actually, it was almost finished until the roof collapsed & slushed everything else. The royal icing sure couldn't hold it in place. Mommy spent 9 hours making it & she was so commited to it that she only went to bed at 8.40 in the morning the following day & only slept for two hours before waking up again(which is today) to continue finishing it up & putting the final touches. Pity she did not take a picture of it before it collapsed becoz it was really loverly! So then she decided to try again & this time, it was successful! It's not as loverly & as big as the previous one but this time, everything was in place & nothing fell apart. The magic ingredient? Nails! Harharhar! Those of you who have Gingerbread expert hoomans, maybe they can give my Mommy some tips or esle this may well be the last time she'll ever make a Gingerbread House.

Another news is that, my Mommy is joining the One In A Million singing competition. Audition is this coming 29th, the following Saturday. We have high hopes for her to getting to the final 5 but it all always depends on the audience whether she appeals to them or not. It's gonna be scawie but this will be a great experience & exposure for her! BUT, yes there's a But. If she does make it to the finals, she may be away for THREE MONTHS!!! That means, there'll be no blogging from us for that whole duration. We are gonna DIE!!!!! And we're gonna miss her terribly. We have never been away from her that long nor has she ever been away from us that long either. Luckily our Hooman M & B will still at home taking care of us & taking over all the chores including bathing us. We will be able to watch her Live though on TV when she sings every week. Oh, she has also lost a total of 25 kgs(55 pounds). She is looking pretty good but still has a bit more to go. She can do it!

Another news, Mommy has finally bought a Christmas tree! Thank DOGNESS!!! We have NEVER had a tree before but after seeing so many of my overseas friends having Christmas trees displayed in their homes every Christmas, I demanded Mommy to buy one coz it's just so weird to celebrate Christmas without a tree right? Yes, right! Mommy has decorated it bootifully & it even has pictures of us hanging on it. Kool! And ofcourse the Gingerbread House is being displayed in the living room too to, well, rot.

Tomorrow, we're gonna take our baths, probably our last bath being given by our Mommy before she leaves & then we'll be taking our photoshoot for the DWB card exchange! Woohoo! We will try to get the cards sent out early by next week. Too bad Mommy won't be around when all your cards start coming in. I will keep'em for her in a special drawer when she does come back.

Anyway, I think I talked too much already. Sorry there are no new pictures but probably tomorrow I'll be able to post up the Christmas pictures!

Amber's Not Well

Hi Amber's friends! Melissa taking over today. I have such bad news. Today I woke up in the morning & found a big stinky pile of diarrhea in the living room. We thought it was Chloe who did it because the day before, she had diarrhea too. But then we checked our girls' backsides & found out it was Amber. When I cleaned up the mess, I noticed red color watery type substance around the stinky pile. It was blood!!!! And it was a LOT!!!! Then when we brought the girls out for a walk, Amber pooped again & there was more blood. Today we called up the vet & the vet said there's no need to bring her in. He just advised us to feed her plain rice & chicken meat. We starved her this morning & she just had her din dins two hours ago. She was so hungry that she performed many of her tricks by herself without me asking her to. Cute! Then I brought her out again with the other two but she did not poop. I guess she pooped everything out already this morning. Hopefully her poop will go back to normal tomorrow. We are so worried. Guess what? It's not only her who has a problem. Faith & Chloe have mites attacking their bodies & their itching like crazy! Faith is eating her own paws everyday & it's all raw now & there's hardly any hair left on them. They two will be on anti-biotics for the next 24 days. I gave the girls a bath today with special medicated shampoo so hopefully the mites will be killed. What happened to our poor girls? We are so worried.

Will keep you guys posted on their improvements.

Two months back, I joined a "Create A Caption" contest which was hosted by Linden Line Designs. Stanislaw's picture was being featured at that time. He was wearing his new kool snood. This was my caption: "What do you get when you cross a dog with a towel? A Muffled WOOFer!"
Get it? Funny? Harharhar!!! So I won anyway & I was so thrilled! I got to pick my own collar & what design I want. I received it this week & lookie! lookie! I think I picked the best one. It sooo totally compliments my glossy golden fur!

Eateds @ FullHouse Cafe

Whatssssup peeps? Hope you guys had a freakishly great Howl-owe'en! Oh & to my American friends, happy voting! Let me tell ya'll a secret. I want the big "O" to win becoz he's kool & he likes dogs!!! Whee! So, last week, we discovered a new cafe that allows dogs through Amber & it's called FullHouse Cafe which is also a Lifestyle Store.

The three gorgeous babes...

Their menu is kinda nice. The price is really affordable & the food is not too bad. Light & slimming. Just pawfect for my Mommy!

But what made us upset was that there was no doggy menu. Boohoo!

We came along with our friends so we got a very nice private spot.

Since there was no doggy food, our hoomans ordered fried chicken wings for us! Oh goodie goodie!

Then we had ham sandwiches! It was so good that I had to close my eyes to savour the flavours of it...

Great place, good food, affordable, friendly waiters who even served us fresh water... I give this Cafe a two paws up! I recommened all doggies to go to this place.

A new pet shop just across the Cafe which is called Fluff Pet Store just opened a few months back. We visited that place just for fun. These two Maltese & another 5 roaming around freely in the shop greeted us with much enthusiasm & noise. Hee!

I found this little bunny & greeted it. It was friendly. I guess it's used to dogs already. We sniffed noses. I never moved away from its pen & I kept on asking Mommy to buy it coz I wanted a pet wabbit! We also met a jumpy Chinchilla in its cage.

A few days back, Mommy rescued this Silky Terrier mix with some sort. She named him Scruffy. I am pleased to tell ya all that he has now found a new loving home!

This was the before him. He was smelly, matted & had conjunctivitis.

This is the after him. He looked great didn't he? Mommy bathed, groomed him & also treated his eye everyday. Mommy purposely left that little fluff on his head coz she could make a mawhok from it. By the way, Mommy has not gone for any grooming course. She's just very good with the scissors. But I hate it when she grooms me...
