What's For Dinnah?
Tonight, we had a very deeleecious din dins! Very very so very deeleecious din dins. Soooo deeleecious that we couldn't control our saliva from spilling out on the sides of our mouths. Oh yeah bebe!
This is called "Kampung" chicken. "Kampung" is the Malay word for Village. Yes! This chicken is from a village & it's so skinny & hardly any meat. But, the mommy said it's good coz village chickens are not injected with any kind of nasty chemicals which can make them grow fat fast. Look, there's hardly any fats on it. Noticed that?
Hey, can we eat it raw instead like those people call it "BARF" coz it tastes sooo good when it's uncooked. But unfortunately, the mommy said no becoz apparently, our trunks can explode like uncontrollable explosive volcanoes the next day. Doesn't sound very pleasant to me...
The mommy stuffed the lifeless fella with clumps of butter & seasoned it with a little bit of grated cheese & parsley. Sounds delish huh! Hey, when will it be ready? I'm so starving I could eat the whole oven with the chicken still inside of it.
*TING!* I think I just heard the oven ring. There it is! Looks soooper deeleecious right? Those round things are chicken sausages made especially for dogs. Oooh, can't wait to dig in!

Amber-Mae, I'm a bit confused about the cooking of the chicken. Penny has raw chicken carcasses three or four times a week and enjoys chomping up the soft bones. As far as I know, it's safe to eat chicken bones in raw meat because the bones are soft and the meat is tough.
In Australia we're told never to feed cooked chicken bones because they splinter in the gut. What do the humans say in Malaysia about chicken? I'm always interested in how people around different parts of the world look after you dogs.

I eat raw chicken and my tummy is just fine. I eat whole thighs, legs, necks and backs. Ms. Alpha removes as much skin as she can.
I've been doing this for a while and my teeth get all pearly white from gnawing on the bones. As long as they are NOT COOKED, doggies can eat bones. Even beef, lamb and pork bones. Just make sure they are not the HUGE weight bearing joints!
