I would bark & bark just to tell my hooman that I WANT TO COME IN!!!
But still, to no avail. So sad & devastating...Do your hoomans do this to you guys too? If so, what are we gonna do? Any ideas...?

ha! i tell ya, i don't get to go inside the kitchen alone too. err... ok, part of it is my fault coz i sometime bark without reason when i'm in there. LOL

*sigh* I'm not allowed in a bunch of the upstairs bedrooms and not in the dining room either because of MY evil kitties.
Sorry guys I'm a one man show here in my house. So I basically have the run of the house (lucky me). I don't agree with your hooman locking you out of the kitchen!!! Couldn't you just jump over the gate or topple it down??

Boo- Hehe, it's the kitchen. Why always the kitchen?! It's not like we're gona steal the food our hooman cook & keep there...Really???
Nanook- The kitties are the trouble makers! We doggies are like, second rated pets in the house. The cats have the freedom & we doggies? All our hooman worry is about us messing up their furni & tearing up the house. I don't think we'll do that right?
Billy- Oh, the gate is tighly screwed to the wall. It's very strong! And no way I'll be able to jump over it because 1st, there's not enuf space for me to land on the other side & 2ndly, no way I'll be jumping over something that's as high like that gate!
Sophie- My sistas & I are planning on getting rid of them soon. But we must do it without our hoomans around or else we'll REALLY be locked up behind bars for days!!!! And yes, I really AM a solid gold dancer coz I dance with my hooman! You can check out my older posts that have pics of me grooving on the stage...
Pacco- Oh, it's around three feet. Surely for you, you have no prob jumping over it coz I know you're good at that but for me, nu-uh!
Fufu- We're always a sad little bunch!

oooooh noooooo my mommy just read all the comments and realized that alot of other doggies have gates...... put your paws in the air cause she and daddy have been talking about putting up gates cause .... well I tend to get the midnight munchies and like to surf a bit....what.... i get hungrey!
trouble is I am allllllways hungrey so it is a sad day my mommy read this piticular post...*sigh*
now I might be sad too.
my hooman only does that to us when they want to go 'kai kai'...so will lock us in the room...according to them, they r afraid that we will get ourselves into trouble wor...hmmm...how could we? we are such good girls...
as usual, whenever they put up the gates, we will show our pitiful faces...
the hoomans will juz turn to us n say 'poor girls', kiss us and then leave us behind!!! nvr even once that we succeeded to make them stay back or chg their mind to bring us along!!sigh...
