Grooming the Fat Golden Retriever named, Chloe

Hey guys! Sorry that I've been slacking this week. Don't blame pitiful gorgeous me. Blame the not so fat fat woman(Mommy that is) who kept on hogging the compooter & would not help me update my blog nor visit you guys. But I'm back now & will drop by all your blogs after this.

So, Chloe & Faith are getting ready for their 3rd Conformation Show which will be on the 1st week of next year. Mommy has already groomed Chloe this evening just to get ready. Mommy purposely groomed her early so that she will not look sooo unnatural with all the blunt cuts here & there when the show starts in two weeks time. Below here are pictures of her during her grooming session. Mommy is no professional groomer nor has she gone to any grooming classes. Mommy just learned how to show groom Goldens by reading & looking at pictures online & also just by looking at other show Goldens. Sometimes Mommy makes some silly mistakes but most of the time she gets it right. BOL!!! Boy, am I GLAD I'm not entering for this round!

So what gadgets do you need to groom a Golden Retriever? The basic stuff ofcourse & also a toy & a bag of treats to reward the dog while grooming & after grooming.

Here's a pair of fat Golden Retriever feeties. One has been trimmed neatly while the other one waits its fate. Chloe's nails has grown so long(blame Mommy for neglecting it) that the woman can't really cut it short enough. According to the dog show rules, the dog's nails shouldn't be touching the ground. Oh well! The judge won't be analyzing the feeties so nothing to fuss about.

Here's the finished product. BOL!!! That dog at the back looks very familiar to me. Chloe's legs are kinda skinny compared to my muscular well build *ahem* yeah anyway, Mommy has bought some really kool products that can pimp her skinny legs up a bit. But that will only be done on the day of the show.

Chloe doesn't really wanna go for the show. She'd rather sleep than run around in the ring several times & look pretty. She'd also rather be a real DOG & roach on grass instead! I like the sound of that too.

Mommy has been practicing running & stacking Chloe & Faith everyday. She wants to make sure the two have the perfect gait & stack during the show. They have to look their best to win. Just one more Challenge cert for Faith to become a Malaysian Champ while Chloe needs two more Challenge certs or six more Reserve Challenge certs to become a Champ. Chloe's got lots of competition out there!!! Wish them luck!
