Brains & Brawn and now... Beauty!

Yeah I know I've been sooo quiet these past few days but we've been sooo busy preparing for a show. Huh? Guess where we were at today? Yes! We were at our very 1st MKA Dog Conformation Show ever! Actually, we entered for two shows & they both were on the same day. It was a last minute thing but my hoomans decided to participate in it becoz this was an area we've not tried before yet besides all the other dog sports. But it was all just for the fun or it & the experience. Nothing serious!

When we reached our destination, the place was already jam packed with hoomans & doggies by 9a.m.! We only managed to squeeze in a little bit of the space in the tent. By the way, the tent was air-conditioned. Woohoo!

Who was our groomer? Our Mommy ofcourse! She does a nice job on us considering that she's no professional groomer like the others. She dressed up sooo nicely with white clothing but at the end of the day, it was full of black paw prints, fur & smears. Whoops!

Doesn't Chloe look like a gorgeous Show Dog after Mommy was done with her? She loves holding stuff in her mouth. That's a plastic bag of show treats.

Me? Well, I'm just a goofball pretending to be a Show Dog. Do I look like one to you? I don't know, you tell me. But guess what? The judges thought I was a real Show Dog. They fell for it & I won 2nd place twice among the Bitch Category!!!

Chloe won more than me & made it further than me too. She was sooo sleepy after the 1st show. Here's her falling asleep on the grooming table...

Many dogs looked gorgeous like this American Cocker Spaniel. This guy especially was very fussy over his dog's fur. He was grooming both his Cocker & PomPom for over two to three hours. Not a single strand of hair must be out of place. It had to look pawfect! Who said it was easy being a Show Dog huh?

This loverly Husky girl was made to stand on the table the whole day. But she did win some fantastic rosettes! You know, I'm just glad that I'm not a full-time Show Dog like the rest. I wouldn't want to be standing on tables the whole day & being fussed about all the time & just basically, do nothing at all just to keep absolutely clean! This ain't my forte but it's OK to do it once in a while right?

It was Faith's turn to strut her stuff, so we just waited in the tent with Mommy. It was really boring waiting for many hours...

After the show was over after 11 hours, our hoomans rewarded us by buying us big fat sausages! Everybody stared at us when our hoomans fed us sausages coz Show Dogs don't eat foods like sausages. We don't care! We are very "cincai-bocai".

Mmmm, I taste cow. Moo... Moo...

Later I saw a lady eating the same sausage too & started starring... I couldn't help it!

So here are our ribbons. Nice eh? Okay, mine are a little small but, it's still better than nothing. Hey, two different judges from two different continents from two different shows picked me to be No.2 among all the bitches. Don't play a fool ya know. I'm a Show Dog peoples!

Since both mah sisters have been conferred titles like Best Of Breed, Reserved Best Breed, etc, etc, my Mommy has conferred me this very special title becoz I can do OB, Agility, Flyball, Tricks & Dance, Therapy, Swimming, Eating, Sleeping & whatever. That title is = MTT (Meeyeah Ter Tak) which means in Cantonese, " Everything Also Can!" or in Malay, "Apa Pun Boleh!"
