Just half an hour ago, the 10th puppy(probably the last too) popped out. Unfortunately, it's too late. The puppy has been in her for 8 hours. It's been way too long. And what's the saddest thing? It's also a girl. We lost three gorgeous girls. We tried everything but to no avail. If only that 1st dumb doctor we called came at 6p.m & immediately gave Amber the Oxytocin jab then I think one or two could have been saved but he was too selfish to help. He's only 15 minutes away & he knows our place. The 2nd doctor that came only came closer to 8p.m. The three puppies will be buried near our home tomorrow morning. We'll still give them names. The 7 however are still going strong. I'll be uploading the pictures of them very soon so stay tuned.
By the way, I just wanna thank you all for the kind & sweet wishes & comments you all gave to Amber during this difficult event. She is doing great & she has stopped pushing. I think everything is out already. The pups & her have been moved to the Crib. Amber still hates her Crib I don't know why. But we're forcing her to stay in there to make sure she feeds the pups.

The 9th One Is Also Dead...
Right after I posted the previous one, the 9th one came out but it was already dead. It's been inside of her for more than 2 hours already. It's also a girl. Now we'll just wait if there's more.
The 8th Puppy!
The 8th puppy was born around 7.30p.m. It's healthy & strong just like the rest. I haven't checked what gender it is. The 6th puppy is really dead, already cold. Amber seems to know it's not alive. She kept on putting it in her mouth & just now she tried to carry it. I don't know what she's trying to do to it. I wonder if she's trying to eat it? Is that what dogs normally do to a dead pup? I know in the wild like the Big Cats, they do that so that they don't waste it. The Vet just left. He did an examination on Amber & he says there might or may not be another pup left inside of her. She just had her Oxytocin jab to clear out everything & if there's another pup in her, it will come out too. But we cannot tell if it'll come out alive or not. We know there's two placenta still stuck in Amber so this jab will help. The jab takes 15 minutes to work. She has started her contraction again because she's pushing again. We hope everything clears out. So anyway, the pups are all asleep soundly. They are oh so adorable!
The 6th One Didn't Make It...
Amber has so much trouble pushing out the 6th one. It took almost an hour. We called up the vet 10 minutes after we noticed the pup was not coming out but he didn't want to come & help. Even when we told him to bill us, how much it doesn't matter but no. He just wants to go home. Then we called up another vet. He is much more helpful. He'll be here in 10 minutes. The 6th one got tangled with the 7th one because the 7th pup came out right after the 6th one. We did all we can. Two placentas are still inside of Amber. Hope the vet will be able to get it out. We rubbed the dead pup vigorously, swung her, I sucked out the fluid out of her nose then gave mouth to mouth. It was no use. She has already turned blue. She's such a beautiful girl, it's such a pity. We're still trying though. The 7th one is a lovely dark female. Both 6th & 7th pup came out with no sacks. I think it burst inside of Amber but good thing the 7th one survived. I think she has more. Amber is still pushing.
3rd, 4th & 5th Is Here!!!
The 3rd puppy was delivered half an hour later after the 2nd one. Don't know the sex yet. The 4th came after shortly but almost didn't make it. Amber ate the placenta before I could stop her. The umbilical cord was still not tied & cut yet. Amber refused to let go of the placenta in her mouth & she almost ate the whole cord. So we cut it but it was way too short & blood gushed out of the puppy's stomach! OMG! We immediately put pressure on it but the puppy didn't wake even after all the rubbing & stimulation we were giving. After 15 minutes, it was struggling for air. We blew at its face & my Mom swung it up & down gently. A lot of fluid came out of her mouth & nose. We gave mouth to mouth resuscitation & then finally, it started breathing on its own but was still weak. We totally freaked out. She is the smallest among the five. Now she is a screaming, squealing, wriggling little monstah! She is a strong sucker & very naughty. She's a real fighter! The blood has finally stopped & she is doing fine. The 5th one is a big size male! Very quiet boy. Love this guy! Now we're waiting to see if the 6th & maybe more will come out. Amber is extremely exhausted but she's doing a good job.
2nd Puppy Came!!!
Born at 3.00p.m.!!! I checked, the 1st one is a GIRL!!! The second one we haven't checked. Third one is coming in a short while...
1st Puppy Born!!!!!
One came out already!!!! One came out already!!!! It's healthy & got very strong suck too! I took a picture of the cute little thing but I can't upload it now because the program is in the other computer. I will upload it later with the others once everything is all done.
Amber's Water Broke!!!
Yes! Finally! I slept with Amber in her Crib just to keep her relaxed this afternoon but since this morning her panting got even heavier & her ears were pulled back, you can see she's in a lot of pain & discomfort. She's been pacing around the house a lot too. Suddenly she got up & started drooling all over me, wanting to get out of her Crib. She hasn't done this drooling thing throughout her pregnancy before. So I let her out & I continued napping. Between 1.15-1.30p.m., her water broke. We found her in the bathroom & we touched her backside area & the whole part there is wet even the bed she was sleeping in. Most of the time she will only spend 2 minutes in the bathroom digging in the corner or lying on the bed & then come out again but now she doesn't seem to be wanting to come out so I think she's ready. We called up the doctor & he said, within four hours we should have one puppy in our hands. Oh, this is so exciting but I hope it'll be a fast delivery because I don't want to see Amber in so much pain & distress for too long. Poor girl hasn't had any sleep for more than 24 hours...
I will take pictures of each puppy that comes out & post here for you all to see.

Not One Single Puppy!
It's been 24 hours already & Amber didn't sleep the whole night. She was panting alot, digging, walking around the house, clearly in discomfort but she doesn't look like she's having any contractions. It looks like she wants to give birth but can't. Actually, today will be her 63rd day if you count from the 1st day of her mating. So it should be today right? She totally lost her appetite but she did eat two chicken necks but she wasn't like crazy about it or anything. Checked her temperature last night & this morning, it went back up to 37.3. It's fluctuating. She looks so tired. We're just worried that if she's too exhausted, she may not have the energy to push. My Mom has brought her to the vet for a checkup & probably another ultrasound scan to see if there's any puppy in her birth canal. Will keep you guys updated.

I Think It's Coming
Amber's non-stop digging in the bathroom corner. I think she prefers to give birth in there not in her birthing box. She doesn't seem to like her Crib very much. Amber walking around & panting a lot too. The doctor said her temperature could drop some more & it may take up to 24 hours before she finally delivers. Well, we just hope it is soon. Fingers crossed that it will be a smooth & quick delivery!
Temperature Dropped
Just checked her temperature. It has dropped. Yesterday was 37.6 & now is 36.9. I think it's coming! Amber is still calm & sleeping. In a few hours time, her labor should start. Yayyy!!!! I'm just wondering, will it be best if we closed the front door & make the whole house dark & peaceful? Will she give birth better this way? There's a renovation going on right now at the back of our house. They're so annoying & so loud! Hopefully later this evening, they will stop.
Could It Be Today?
It's Monday morning today. Amber started digging in the bathroom corner. She also kinda refused to eat her food but still went for the meat pieces. She's resting now. Seems calm. I'm off today from work so I'm hoping it's today. Even if it's not today, I will take a day off tomorrow too. Man, this wait is killing me! Puppies ooooohhhh puppies!!! We'll be sure to take a video of the whole birthing process & some pictures too. I will keep updating Amber's blog with pictures of each puppy that pops out. We already came out with a nice kennel name & puppy names. Can't wait to name them all! If I'm not mistaken, the pup pups' eyes will not be opened till after two weeks right?

Nothing So Far...
It's Sunday today, 11.45p.m. It's exactly 61 days already. So far nothing... But we have seen some signs of Amber panting constantly even when the air-conditioner is on, constant grooming, her appetite goes on & off & then on again. Her eyes are so red, maybe because of the heat the puppies are giving out inside of her I don't know. Sometimes she looks uncomfortable & stressed but maybe that's because the puppies are moving inside or kicking. Not sure. She's sleeping soundly now in the air-conditioned study room. Checked her temperature this morning. Still normal. We'll just have to wait I guess. According to the Malaysian Kennel Association(MKA), it takes 61 days but according the the breeder, vet & information on the internet, it should take 63 days. So we don't know if it'll be today, tomorrow or on Tuesday. We just hope it's soon because Amber is having difficulty moving around with all that load she's carrying. Hurry up puppies!!!

CROBEE is THREE!!!
Yes! Chloe aka Crobee aka Crowerrr aka Crobs is THREE!!! My hoomans can't believe that she's growing up so fast. Well, they can't believe we all are growing up so fast. We had a fantaboolous, yummylicious, droolsomely-deeleecious meal & cakes last night! Oh yeah, it was goood...
Chloe & I inhaled our cakes so fast that Mommy couldn't snap in time. I think the camera is too old. By the way, our loverly Pantex camera that we've been using all the time is totally dead. So, I think it's time for Mommy to buy a new one soon.
Oh, Faith LOVED the fishcake! For some reason, she was so hungry last night. If any of you would like the ingredients, do pee-mail Mommy.
Three polished plates...
Time to open pressie!!! Recognize this box anyone? Our hoomans recycled Cody's box & used it to put in Chloe's surprise pressies. Hehehehe!
Look! Something pink & hairy popped out of it!
She looks exhausted trying to dig it out...
I joined in to help out.
Finally! Look what she got!!!
Two huge teddy bears!!! Oh she loves stuffies a lot.
Crobee is sooo happy! Look at her love-shaped tongue. So cute!
So what have I been doing lately? Hehehe!
Is my belly looking bigger now?

Almost ready to POP!
My popping day is one week away! My stomach has grown bigger & I now weigh 5kgs heavier. When I step on Mommy's foot, she screams. Yeah & I mean really scream. I get 3 meals a day plus supper at 12 midnight. Oh yeah bebe! I still get to go for normal walks & car rides too but I'm no longer allowed to run or play rough games like fetch. I still get to chew my tennis balls though. My Hooman M bought 12 tennis balls for me to play in mah Crib. It's so fun! I also went for my 2nd Ultrasound scan this week & the puppers are doing great. I'm beginning to pant alot too coz I feel so hot all the time or maybe it's the weather.
This big square PVC tubes inside mah Crib is to prevent me from accidentally squishing the puppers when I try to lie down. I call it my "Private Under". Why? Because I like to purposely push mah tennis balls under the couch, tables, racks just for fun & then try to dig them out with mah paws till my hoomans get so annoyed with me. Heh! So now, I have mah own under! Yipee!!!
These stuff are called Birthing Paraphernalia. We got everything all ready when the time comes. You all must be wondering what are these small sacks of stuff. Well they are actually little bolsters for the puppers. Inside are filled with uncooked rice which will be microwaved on low so that they'll be nice & warm for them to hug on. You know, I HATE heat right? Blankets will be placed in mah Crib(oh no!), hot water bottles filled with warm water will be placed under the blankets(double oh noes!) & lights will be on too for some extra warmness for the puppers! I am very sensitive to heat so that's why I like to sleep on nice cold tiled floors only. Well, I think I might just have to dig the whole sheets out then. I know I'm such an irritating woman but what to do?
You see that ther-mo-mee-ter? Yeah. That will be poked into my "you-know-where" a few times(I think 5 or more times on the same day) to check mah temperature. If my temperature is below 37 degrees, then I should be having a labour. Normal temperature is 37.5 to 39.2. If above 39.2, then it means I'm having a fever. I hope that doesn't happen. Though this is just for percaution, I'm certainly not looking forward to it! Nu-uh!

My Private Crib
Hello guys! Sorry that I have been away for too long. Well, I wanna show you all my own private crib! I call it, 'Amber's VIP Crib'. Yeah! It's big, it's spacious & I even have my own mini ceiling fan to keep me cool in the day. Here are some pictures of mah Crib...
Mommy's camera has "kapooted" about a week ago so it is now at the camera hospital to have a surgery. I don't know how long it'll take but hopefully it'll be ready soon. So these pictures were taken using the old camera. But I guess it doesn't look that bad eh? This camera is almost like 10 years old.
Hope you enjoyed the pictures. One day, I will invite you all to come & have a private get-together pawty in mah Crib! Whee! By the way, check out mah belly. It's very round!

UPDATE-Amber is alright!
Hi again. Well Amber went to a new vet this afternoon with my Mom & this doctor said that Amber probably has a urinary infection or something bad happened to the puppies in her tummy. He was a young guy, probably not very experienced with pregnant dogs. He checked Amber's vulva area & said there's blood & it has already turned black. But we didn't see blood. It's brownish discharge. Normally, it should be clear but I don't know why Amber's is brownish. So my Mom then called up Amber's husband's owner & he told us not to panic too much. He's a very experienced breeder & he knows some vet stuff very well. He advised us to dab a tissue on her vulva area every hour & see whether it's clear. It's been clear so far & we checked three times already. Then he asked us if Amber is bloated like a goat or something like that. We said no. Amber's tummy looks normal, bigger than before but not exploding. Then we collected Amber's pee to see if it's bloody. Nope. It's yellowish like normal. So everything is ALL FINE! Phew! We really panicked like crazy after the vet said she might have an abortion because her discharge hasn't stopped. Amber's discharge started right after the mating. A bit too soon but I don't think there's anything wrong with her. I think we really over panicked. Well, everything is all well again. Amber's appetite is huge, she's still active(okay she walks slow nowadays but still has drive for her tennis balls), she's still her normal self except that she pants quite a bit now but not excessively. So, I'm sorry for all the panic guys! We just got really worried. I guess all owners should be if anything doesn't seem normal with their own pets or if their pets are in delicate condition like Amber right? We'll still keep checking her just in case anything should go wrong.
Amber doesn't seem right today & she's been having excessive discharge. I don't know what's wrong but we called up the vet & he said she may need to have an abortion if there's something wrong & our neighbor who their dog just gave birth a month back said it could possibly be a sack that has ruptured. All the vets we called are closed today because today's Sunday but our neighbor knows one that is still open till late afternoon. My Mom & her have gone. I'm at home taking care of the other two. I hope it's not bad news when she comes back. It'd be so devastating if it is. Please pray that is not bad news. Whatever it is, Amber's life is more important than the puppies. If there's anything wrong with her, she has to be saved.

My Ultrasound Day
Alright, alright! So some of you were whining away asking why you have to wait for 1 week for the wonderful news. So I'm gonna tell you all now. I am CONFIRMED pregnant! Let me share some pictures with you all of mah visit to the dreaded vet.
That's me waiting for mah turn. This vet is very popular coz it was kinda full. Everybody who met me there adored me. I mean, who wouldn't right?
Good afternoon doctor! I'm here for my Ultrasound scan. See! The doctor likes me too.
The next thing I knew, I was being shaved under mah belly till nekkid. I felt itchy immediately after that but I felt so much cooler too. Heehee!
My hoomans bought me a new ball while waiting for my turn earlier on. I played with it while the doctor prepared the Ultrasound machine.
After that we were called into another room & by that time, I was getting really nervous. I've always been uncomfortable of being handled my strangers but the doctor & his helper were really gentle & nice with me. They carried me & placed me on a very cold steel table & laid me down gently on mah side. I struggled a wee bit at first but after a while, I relaxed.
And dozed off...
Here he is showing my hoomans my little babies kicking & moving inside of me. He said the 1st 30 days of pregnancy is very crucial because any little mistakes, something bad could happen easily. But 30 days is over & he said ALL the puppers' hearts are beating & are very healthy. One of the pups particularly is big size.
Here's a picture of one of my little puppers. Looks like a hooman baby eh? This little fella felt a little uncomfortable with the Ultrasound waves so it started to wiggle a little bit. But my little dahling is fine. I'm guessing this one is a boy because he's the biggest.
My Mommy made a short video of my Ultrasound. This is the new one because the previous one Mommy made some silly mistakes & put in some wrong information in there. Her bad! The Ultrasound was recorded by the doctor. You'll find it really kool!
After 10 minutes, it was over. The doctor wiped the sticky gel off me & I was happy! I honestly couldn't wait to get out of this room. Snort!
And waited outside while my hooman M payed the bill. I got tons & tons of crunchy treats to eat while waiting. Yum!
When it was time to go home, Mommy let me sit in the front seat as a reward(actually the truth is, I chucked her to the back just to be mean for fun) Hehehe!
My other reward was, FRIED CHICKEN!!! I got four big pieces of those. Burp! It was also a little treat for my little babies too. I bet they were loving it. See how happy I am? Looks like the visit to the vet wasn't that bad after all but this does not mean I'd like to go back there again.

This sounds like a fun game! So that means, I'll have TWO contests running at the same time. That one & ofcourse this new one. If any of you can guess the right number(MUST be the correct number) of puppers I will have, then you'll win the Dalmatian cookies too & if you can guess how many boys & girls there will be correctly, you'll get an extra limited edition Dalmatian cookie!
