FOOD Bath!

My little golden fluff balls are only 2 & a half weeks old but they have already started eating on their own! My Mommy made some healthy 'Meat Smoothie' for them which consists of boiled minced meat, carrots, dog milk powder, olive oil & potatoes! Oh boy, they LOVED it! Here are some pictures taken of them eating this afternoon.

Such hungry little monkeys...

Oh my what a mess!

Here's my little girl polishing up the spoon.

And here's me doing what all mothers always do; cleaning up the kids' mess...

Time for desert!

Faith creeping in to take a closer look at the pups...

The pups also can drink milk by licking.

Milk mustache. How cute!

Mother & Son drinking together...

That's it for today folks! Two days ago, a professional photographer came by & took some lovely shots of us & the pups alone. We will be featured in a magazine for the next issue. We can't wait to see them & share it with you all too. Zum zum!

16 Days Old

Hey guys! It's me Amber! I bet'chu all missed me so much huh? Heehee. I've been a very busy Mumsie these past few weeks. My little puppers have grown up so much too. On the 11th day, they were weighed again & they all have put on another 500 grams. Today I'm sure they have put on more weight. The smaller pups have caught up with the bigger ones & one of the females is now bigger than the males. Puppy number 7 is the smallest & the lightest & her eyes are just beginning to open today while the rest have almost fully opened. They all can walk too! Everything about them is getting bigger like even their puddles. Oh, you can imagine how much laundry there is now. Aroooo! We have also moved back to the Crib. I'm okay with it right now. Not exactly loving it but I can live with it.

Puppies in a laundry basket while my Mommy cleans out the Crib. They can't use the black basket anymore because they are spilling out of it.

Me checking them out...

Here's one of my sweet males. Doesn't he have eyes of George Clooney? Aww.

This one yawning. Oh, have you smelt puppy breath before? They smell of coffee. Yes really! Well actually, I haven't really smelt coffee before but they have a very musky smell. But I like it!

Oh & they do this alot too! Nyom nyom.

Here's one tasting Mommy's finger.

This little guy standing up.

So cute!

When I went inside the Crib & layed down, the puppies sniffed me out & jumped up from their nap & immediately crawled towards me like little heat missiles!

Here I'm being terorrized. Hehehe!

Here's a cute bum shot of the puppies.

The puppies are so big they have to fight to fit in. Oh yeah, they are strong!

10 minutes later... The pups are so full they look drunk.

Finally I get to eat my breakfast. I've been getting pawsome food since before I gave birth. I eat Norwegian Salmon everyday! That's why my coat is in a fantastic condition. Also, my hoomans leave the air-conditioner on 24/7. They never done this before but for my own comfort, they are doing it. And you wanna know something funny? My puppies LOVE the air-cond & the floor. When my hoomans place carpets, sheets or blankets for them, they crawl away from them & sleep on the floor instead & they sleep soundly. When they are on the sheets, they tend to move around alot. Man, all I got to say is, they GOT MY GENES!!! Woohoo!

And here's 15 minutes later. All drunkard puppies scattered everywhere...

Wanna take a look at my coat again? Hee!

Some of you may have noticed that I have a new banner up on the top of my blog. Well, I'll be opening a new blog soon about the pups' progress & so on. Once the pups are old enough, 5 of them will go to new loving homes. I will let you all know when it'll be opened for everyone to view. By the way, my hoomans already have nice names for my puppers but now it'll be difficult for them to name which puppy with which name. Probably at 5 weeks old, once they show their full personalities, we'll give them their names.

Okay, time for the puppies' lunch! Tata!

Gone Too Soon

I really haven't had any time posting up the pictures of our three Golden Angels' grave because we've been so busy with the other seven but here it is...

We've named them Halo, Angel & Heaven. I think those names are so sweet...

I buried
them just outside our house in our mini garden. I decided to bury them there because we wanted them to be close to home where they were born. I didn't let Amber see the pups because I didn't want her to get upset but I think she knew because she refused to chew her cow bone which she usually loved & she just looked sad in the porch.

It was a really hard time for me to bury the three girls. The hardest part was when I had to put the puppies in & fill the hole back up. Each scoop of soil I put in, I would tear up. It sure wasn't easy I tell ya but they are in a better place now.

Anyway, I am going to make a movie about the whole whelping process tonight & post it up as soon as I can. I just found the perfect music for it & I can bet ya, it will be a very nice movie.

A Word from Hooman M:

"Today, our lucky 7 are 7 days old. We have come a long way from the start of the pregnancy to the birth of the little miracles that are changing & growing before our eyes. They are Amber's Legacy. And what a journey it has been to arrive at this moment - harrowing, emotionally draining yet richly rewarding. It is enough to last a lifetime. We may have lost 3 beautiful angels but we are blessed with seven more. And for that we are deeply grateful to God. Most of all, we thank Him for keeping Amber safe throughout the treacherous journey of pregnancy & pray that he will continue watching over her & her 7 golden babies until she fully recovers & they are strong enough to lead an independent life of their own."

Three Days Old

The little squeaky Amberettes are doing very well. I can't believe they are already three days old. The days sure went by fast. Unfortunately, we had to move the puppies back to the bathroom because Amber has been refusing to stay in the Crib & nurse them. At first, I was pretty upset because I thought Amber was not accepting her puppies & the whole night till morning, she just stayed up, paced around & whined. But the moment all the puppies were put back in the bathroom, my gosh... What a WONDERFUL mother she is!

She stays with them almost the whole day, coming out just once in a whil
e. And the moment any of the puppies start calling, she runs back to them frantically. She has even sacrificed a lot for her puppies. The bathroom is stuffy & hot & recently I mentioned that she hates sleeping on anything besides the cold tiled floor. The lamps are on all the time & it gives out some heat & we cannot put on the fan on high for Amber because we want the pups to stay warm. Amber pants a lot in the bathroom because it's hot but she knows this is what's good for her puppies. She's just a wonderful mother & I'm so proud of her.

I think the Crib didn't give much privacy plus it was in an area where the TV is always on, the main door was just beside it & Chloe could look over it so I guess she just felt uncomfortable with that place. Amber doesn't seem to mind Chloe coming close to the puppies but Faith is kinda freaked out about them. She stays at least 10 feat away from them. I guess in a way it's good at least for now but I hope she will get used to them some day. The puppies' remaining cords have finally dropped off & I weighed each of them last night. Most of them are at least around 500 grams but one of the girls is around 400 grams. I think she is puppy #4. The smallest in the group. They each have their own identification collars too. I've taken more pictures of them with Amber in the bathroom which I would like to share with you all...

Hope you enjoyed the pictures! There'll be more to come. We haven't named them yet but once they are 2 weeks older or more, we'll be able to see each of their personalities & then it'll be much easier for us to name them.

I would also like to thank you all for the nice comments you left in the previous post. Sure it was sad & such a waste to lose three beautiful puppies but life must go on. Yes you all are right. 7 is much more easier to take care than 10 but still... We all including Amber are still sad over the loss. But 7 is a very lucky number or so I heard. I don't know why but it is. Thanks for cheering us up. We feel a lot better today.
