Culinary Canine

Bonjour Maddam et Monsieur! It has been a very long time indeed since I was Le' Chef. I still very remember what I cooked the last time. Yes, I roasted a Chicken, also known as Poulet in French. It was so very délicieux! Well, for today's menu, me, Le' Chef iz gonna make some home-made Doggy Meatballs. Yes, meat made into balls for dogs to eat. Gots it?

Well 1st, Bienvenue to mon Kitchen! Isn't the arrangement et décoration nice? It's so romantique don't cha think so?

Let's check out the ingrédients for this recipe. All we need is:

Cow & Chicken Minced Meat

Raw Oats
Some Eggs
Low Salt Margerine or Canola Butter
Freshly chopped Parsely
A Glass of Iced Water (just in case you get thirsty)

Step Un: Add all the cow minced meat with all the other ingrédients just like the image above.

Then give a little whiff just to make sure everything smells alright.

Step Deux: Mix il all up till il looking like this! Vous could also use votre paws to do the job. Il will turn out the same.

Step Trois: Rowl the meatables into balls. Make sure you give the balls a few good smackings into shape so dat there is no holes or air in them. After that, place them on a buttered or oiled tray so dats le meatballs do not sticks. Gots it?

Step Quatre: Place le meatballs on tray into Oven to bake for at least half an hour or when it's fully cooked. Bake it as high as 180 degrees celcious. I haves no idée how many far-and-heights it is. Go figure.

When it is ready, it will be looking something comme ceci. Délicieux? For the chicken one, do le exact same thing.

Once you're done wif everythings, the meatballs will look like these! Taddaaaa!!!

Now time to put them to the test. Chicken aka Poulet 1st!

Je l'aime!

Now, the cow aka vache.

Je l'aime encore plus! Two paws up!

Amber Le' Chef, OUT!!!

Update on Bosco: He's doing very well now & has begun to eat by himself! Way to go Bosco!!! Chloe has saved a life!

He Ain't Heavy, He's My Brother

Chloe was a hero or should we call, heroine yesterday! Well, my Hooman M received an emergency call from a friend saying that her friend's dog named Bosco, had tick fever & who needed blood transfusion immediately becoz her dog had hardly any red blood cells left. We actually had training later in that afternoon but we still went becoz it's more important to give a helping hand to another dog than going for training, right?

So anyway, off we went with our Hooman M. Mommy was at work at that time so she couldn't come along. We were the last ones to arrive at the vet's place & everyone was already there & most of the dogs have finished their blood test. There were several dogs of different breed & sizes. There were other Goldens, Rottweilers & some other small breeds. The doctor only said that dogs above 25kg qualify coz they needed quite a lot of blood. They can't be using a small dog or else all the blood will be sucked out of the poor thing. So anyway, we big doggies were tested but excluding some Shih Tzus, other smaller breeds & even Faith.

After the testing was done, Chloe was chosen becoz according to the Doctor, she was the healthiest there with good platelet count, no liver & kidney problems. By the way, she has lost quite a bit of weight & is as slim as me now. She has been on special doggy slimming pills for a few months & it's working really well! Okay, back to the story. Chloe was then taken in the exam room to have her weight taken & so on, so on. I followed to check it out but my Hooman M asked someone to watch over me & Faith outside the room. Boohoo!

But anyway, the whole proceedure was done mostly behind closed doors so all the other people couldn't see what actually happened. Chloe did go through with a bit of pain when the Doctors stole her blood. You'll notice it when you see her mouth closed. To check out what happened, watch video below...

The Doctor announced that Chloe did not need any anesthetic. She took the pain in her stride. When it was over, we went straight for our usual training. Chloe was pawfectly fine, playing around & even did some Agility. She's a strong sooperwoman!

On behalf of Chloe, she would like thank Bosco for the opportunity to give some of her blood away which is good for her too. This is also part of our contribution to the bad things that are happening to our brudders & sistas in Turkey. We must all rally together to help one another. Please click here to write a petition.

Thank you Bosco for letting her help you & may you get well soooper soon!

Gourmet Din Dins

We just had our baths this afternoon & we're smelling great! Or shall we say, smelling weird... I'd prefer smelling like a dog anytime! Don't you? So anyway, Mommy had nothing else better to do after cleaning the whole house & bathing us (she does this every Wednesday-it's a must to her!), she decided to make gourmet din dins for us & infact, we just had it half an hour ago & we're still stuffed! Let's see why it was so very stuffy...

Okay, what are we having for tonight?

It's very important to analyze your food before you eat. Egg-check! Pumpkin-check! Aha, aha, yeah. Kibbles-check! And everything nice. Having a well balanced meal is veli veli important ya know?

What about the smell??? Yup, smelling good!

First, you're gonna go into my mouth. Then, I will chew you into a mush. Don't worry! I will be gentle. Then I'm gonna swallow you & keep you in my tummy for some time & I will try my best not to "shapeepee" you out too early. Heehee! Now come to Mama...

This is what you get when you mix it all up. Kinda looks like puke that has been eaten up again & puked up once more time. Well, the looks of it may gross you out but I bet it tastes better than it looks.

I knew I was right! It does!

Sooo tasty...

But sooo thick...

...and sticky!

Keep licking, keep licking, till your tongue gets tired...

Then lick the bowl clean. Voila! I'm DONE!!! Phew, it sure gave my tongue one hell of a work-out & guess what? I'm still up for more!

Merdeka at Kuala Kubu Bharu!

We had two hours of non-stop wild, leaping from the riverbanks into the icy cold water like no doggy's business, tennis ball retrieving, splish-splashing fun at KKB yesterday afternoon! It was our third time being there but no friends came a long this time. But surprisingly when we were there, we met two new friends! No, they were not doggies. They were two Aboriginal kids who live in the Village near the waterfall. They were nekkid & so friendly! We had so much fun with them.

Walking towards the waterfall...

Here's the cute little buggar. He always likes to pose for the camera!

Here's him again trying to play ball with Faith.
Having a dip in the water...

Apparently the water was too freezing for Faith so she mainly stayed out of it & just moaned & groaned & shivered pathetically...

But she did go wild running around playing chase with Chloe.

Here we go!

Swimming with Mommy...

Meanwhile, the spotted one was just wandering around alone. She just doesn't know how to have fun!

Anyway, here are some gorgeous pictures of us for you boys to savour...

Regal Chloe.

Then we got some home-made crispy chicken neck treats. It was yummy!

Chloe is sooo good with this puppy eyes thingy...

Then in we went again!

Throw the ball again!!!

Wheeeeeeeee! Later, it was getting dark so we quickly dried up & took two more last pictures with the little kid.

Now, isn't this just sweet?

What about this? Just look at their expressions! Just priceless!
